News - A Summer Ball... just no summer!
The Gods haven't conspired to give us a decent summer this year, so we decided to take matters into our own hands at the Summer flower-themed Ball. Over 200 PACE members and their guests converged on the Botanical Gardens on 9th July to find an opulent summer celebration decorated with dancing summer flowers and complimentary sunglasses.
The summer ambience was complemented by the champagne reception, sponsored by Send Marketing Solutions, which took place on the beautiful terrace - a fabulous setting for this year's summer ball. Sponsored by Business Link West Midlands, the Gala Dinner was hosted by Beacon Radio's Jon Wyer, who kept the party going into the early hours.
Before that though, there was time for Britain's Got Talent Star, Tracy Lee Collins' memorable vocal and comedy performance, together with the altogether more laid-back summer sound of Midlands singer, Richard Cameron. A fantastic range of raffle and auction prizes succeeded in raising over £3,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society).
A special thanks must go to Jimmy Franks for helping us raise the biggest amount in the auction in the last few years. Huge thanks also to Lucy Fletcher from McCann Erickson Communications House and Elizabeth Burrows from Aston Villa Football Club for organising and planning the event.
