News - The PACE Golf Day 2009

The traditional PACE Golf Day was, yet again, a fantastic success. It's great to see so many people supporting PACE through the difficult trading times we find ourselves contending with so a big thank you goes out to all the bandits... erm... i mean people, involved.

Taking place at the picturesque and challenging Fulford Heath Golf Club and sponsored by Advek, we took to the first tee at Midday on Thursday 21st May. The day consisted of an 18 hole team Stableford competition featuring teams from Advek, M3 Communications, Clear Channel, Aston Villa Football Club, Beacon Radio and McCann Erickson Communications House Birmingham. It was completed with a presentation dinner where prizes were handed out to the winning participants.

M3 Communications two teams took first and third prize with the Villa coming in second (hopefully a premonition for next season!. Ed). Everyone loves a trier of course and Matt Ramsbottom and his merry band of Beaconites enthusiastically took the Wooden Spoon.

Thanks also go to Selena Higgins from Heart FM, Matt Ramsbottom from Beacon Radio and Steve Price from Unsuitable who donated Champagne, concert tickets and golf balls respectively to the prize pot.
