Updating you on upcoming PACE events and initiatives. As we move into the back-end of summertime, our thoughts are drawn to the inevitable onset of the festive period. While it may seem a world away as you turn up the office air conditioning, we thought you'd appreciate an advance reminder to save the date in your undoubtedly busy diary. In other news, the return of the PACE football tournament is imminent and we have an exciting speaker event coming up that you may well be interested in:

THE PACE CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2009 - SAVE THE DATE
Friday 4th December 2009 at Aston Villa Football Club
Celebrate a traditional Christmas this year with a champagne reception, Christmas lunch and a full programme of entertainment. There will also be the usual after-party event in central Birmingham.
£750 per table of 10 for members, £800 per table of 10 for non-members. Guests requiring a second table will be able to reserve it at a discounted rate of £500. Each table will be stocked with five bottles of wine - two red, two white and one rosé.

THE PACE 5-A-SIDE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT RETURNS
Thursday 24th September, 6.30pm at Powerleague, Salford Stadium.
Join us for an evening of football, banter and friendly rivalry. The PACE football tournament is back. No matter which part of the industry you’re from, this is your chance to get one over on your competitors. All in the name of charity of course. Full Champions League Format – group stages, quarter finals, semi-finals and final.All teams guaranteed at least 3 games. Max 7 players per team (roll on, roll off substitute system).
Start: 6.30 for registration & briefing. Finish: 9.15 with food and presentations in the bar afterwards.

Wednesday 21st October from 6.30pm. eOffice, Ground Floor, Norfolk House, Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham B5 4LJ.
Jonathan is ex-head of YouTube and Display at Google and will be sharing his thoughts on how Google has got to where it is and the future of the social web among other things.
